The One Nation candidate for Macedon, Damien Parolin, was caught driving almost 60km/h over the speed limit in November 2021, The Snoop can reveal.
Caught driving at 159km/h in a 100km/h zone, he pleaded guilty to one charge of dangerous driving, was fined $850, and lost his licence for 12 months with no conviction recorded.
Parolin told The Snoop he was overtaking another car when the highway opened up into an overtaking lane, “a bit too enthusiastically, right past the local police!”
“Made mistakes in the past, did my licence loss period, worked on myself and here we are,” Parolin said.
