Listening to BTS on Spotify can now come with a quiz to test how big of a fan you actually are. Spotify has launched an interactive BTS Music Quiz that lets ARMY test just how closely they’ve been paying attention to the group over the years. The experience was introduced alongside BTS’ fifth studio album, ARIRANG, and is available to Premium subscribers globally.

Now Playing doubles as a game

Play any BTS song, scroll down from Spotify’s Now Playing screen, and a Music Quiz banner can appear. Tap Play quiz, and Spotify starts asking questions built around BTS’ music, major milestones, and other defining moments from the group’s career. This turns a screen normally reserved for lyrics, credits, and videos into an interactive experience.

Once you finish, Spotify gives you a score that can be shared directly to social media. You can also hit Challenge a friend and send the quiz to another BTS fan. After they finish, Spotify delivers a scorecard comparing your results through Your Updates, its in-app notification hub. So you’re not just testing how well you know them; it is also a competition. This is a new social feature that also joins the recent Request to Jam feature.

BTS is the perfect test case

The quiz is clearly built around the release of ARIRANG, with Spotify describing it as a way to revisit the moments that shaped BTS’ artistic history. It supports English, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish, giving the experience a genuinely global rollout rather than restricting it to Korea or the US.

Spotify has been steadily pushing beyond passive listening. It already has Messages, shared Jams, real-time Listening Activity, AI DJ, and more conversational ways to interact with music. So a new trivia game isn’t that surprising. It helps fans of an artist engage with the community around them.
