The average cost of unleaded petrol in Perth is closing in on $2.50 per litre, with some metropolitan service stations tomorrow to charge almost $2.60 per litre.
It’s a 14c jump on Tuesday’s average price at the bowser and it means Perth motorists are likely to pay more for unleaded petrol than drivers in several major country centres around the State, including Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie.
All of the major chains have jacked up their prices from Tuesday, some by as much as 23c per litre.
The price of diesel in Perth meanwhile remains steady, just above $2.72 per litre around Perth.
The cheapest petrol in Perth on Wednesday will be available at Burk Oakford, selling for 216.3c, while BP Woodbridge is the most expensive, charging 259.9c.
